Is there any plans to make a coder/decoder combo for recording and playing back video tapes ?
The guy in the link bellow is working on a combo coder-decoder and he is considering a hi-res version of 24 bit and 88.2 Khz options:

Hahaha, it's not a race, but yes. My plan is to make an encoder/decoder combo unit. Just be patient with me. Up till recently it was only a personal curiousity. I had no idea there was a demand and a bit of a cult following out there.
